Thomas Hughes, President
Tom Hughes has been the president of Champion Paving since it was established in 2008, and makes up half of the executive team with his CFO and Vice President Mike Meyer. After 2 decades in the asphalt construction field, Tom has made an undeniable mark on the Southern California landscape through the countless projects he has contracted and organized. Clients and associates know that when it comes to making sure a job is done right, there is no one they would rather have managing their project. Through his diligence and tireless pursuit of excellence, Tom has turned Champion Paving into one of the fastest growing, most successful paving companies in the region.
Michael Meyer, CFO, Vice President
Mike Meyer is the other half of the Champion executive team, operating as both CFO and VP. Mike's wealth of experience in both commercial and industrial real estate development provided Champion with a strong foundation from which it could thrive early on. His insight and financial intuition has allowed for a steady increase in the size and scope of projects Champion undertakes, and his positive relationships with clients all across Southern California makes his impact at Champion irreplaceable. The powerful partnership between Mike and Tom is the fundamental reason Champion Paving has seen the enormous success it experiences today.
Octavio Navarro, Sales Executive
Octavio Navarro joined Champion Paving in 2011 and never looked back. Learning from the sales practices of Tom, Octavio has become a leader in the areas of contracting and project management. Over the last few years, Octavio has acquired million of dollars worth of new business, solidifying the strong reception Champion has with its clients around the state. He is a prime example of the leadership that is required from Champion employees.
Jessica Ramirez, Office manager
Behind every successful company is an office manager that keeps all the tight ends together. Jessica Ramirez is that Champion. Since 2010, Jessica has been the right hand of the executive team, creating a flawless workflow that allows millions of dollars of work to be processed without a hitch. Her experience in accounting and client management has given Champion a leg up since the beginning, and as she continues to grow and develop within the organization, her exceptional abilities becomes more and more apparent.
Melissa Luna, Receptionist
Melissa Luna is another young talent whom Champion was fortunate to acquire in 2012. She is the first face you'll see when entering our office, and she directs our valued clientele to the answers they're looking for each day. When it comes to the work she does for Champion, her presence is invaluable. Between assisting Jessica, Tom and Mike, Melissa exemplifies all of the qualities that make up a true champion, and we are proud to have here here.
Zach Hughes, Director of marketing & business development
Every company needs a little creativity pumped into its veins once in a while, and Zach Hughes is here to make sure that Champion always has something fresh to offer. Starting his professional career as a copywriter for a web development company, Zach has managed to focus his abilities on letting others know what makes Champion so special. With a sharp wit and a solid sense of current market trends, Zach works tirelessly to expand the already growing construction empire Champion hopes to establish.
